Dr Brooks graduated from medical school at the University of Western Australia in 1995. After several years as a Junior Medical Officer at Royal Perth Hospital, Dr. Brooks started training as a Specialist Anaesthetist at Royal Perth Hospital and completed his training at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, UK, with an interest in difficult airways.
Having returned to Perth, Dr Brooks commenced private practice in 2004 and continues to provide care to patients in a wide range of surgical specialities from Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology and Orthopaedics to plastic and oral surgery.
He is currently interested in non pharmacological measures to reduce preoperative anxiety.
Outside of work Dr Brooks enjoys keeping fit, travelling and photography.
